KoolCareers is run by Stellar Media Collective. Using it means you accept what is written here. It is written to be read, not to be impressive; if something is unclear, email hello@koolcareers.com and ask.

1. What KoolCareers is

A tool for thinking about work: you describe yourself, the tool compares career paths against the pay you need where you live, and an AI planning partner helps you shape a plan you can act on.

2. What it is not

It is not career counselling, financial advice, legal advice, or a psychological assessment, and nobody here is licensed to give you any of those. The interest quiz is based on Holland's RIASEC interest types but it is our own set of questions — it is not the O*NET Interest Profiler and it is not a validated test.

Pay figures, living-wage estimates, day-in-the-life sketches and path ratings are estimates. Where a figure comes from public data we say so and link the source; where the AI produced it, the tool says that too. Check live job listings and official sources before you make a decision that costs you money or time. The decisions are yours, and so are their consequences.

3. Your account

Accounts are invite-only and personal to you. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You must be at least 16 to have one.

4. Your content stays yours

Everything you write into the tool — your answers, notes, paths, plan — belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and process it only so far as running the service requires: saving it, showing it back to you, and sending the parts you choose to the AI so it can answer you. We do not use your plan to train AI models, and we do not sell it. See the Privacy Policy for who processes what.

5. The AI

The planning partner runs on Anthropic's Claude models. It can be wrong, including confidently wrong. It never changes your plan without telling you what it changed, and you can undo those changes. There is a daily message limit per account so one heavy day cannot run up an unbounded bill; it can change.

6. Fair use

Do not use KoolCareers to:

• break the law, or help anyone else to;
• get at another person's account or data;
• scrape it, resell it, or run it as part of another product;
• attack it — automated hammering, probing for holes, or trying to get around the message limits.

If you find a security hole, please tell us before you tell anyone else. We will thank you properly.

7. Closing an account

You can ask us to close your account and delete your plan at any time by emailing hello@koolcareers.com. We can close an account that is being used to break section 6, and we will say why.

8. Availability

This is a small product. It can be down, slow, or changed. We do not promise uptime, and we may add, alter or remove features. If we are going to remove something you rely on, we will try to give you notice and a way to take your plan with you.

9. Price

KoolCareers is free while it is invite-only. If it becomes paid, nobody gets charged without being told first and agreeing.

10. The legal part

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make about your career, your job or your money. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months — which, while the product is free, is nothing. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

11. Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will email the address on your account and update the date at the top. Carrying on using KoolCareers after that means you accept the new version.

12. Which law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, and the courts of Sarasota County, Florida have jurisdiction — except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim closer to home, which it may.
