Privacy Policy

KoolCareers asks personal questions — what you love, what you earn, what you are afraid of doing next. This page says exactly what happens to those answers. It is short because the app does little with them.
What we store

What we do not do
- No advertising, and no ad trackers. There is no analytics script on this site.
- No selling or sharing your information with anyone for their own purposes.
- No using your plan to train AI models.
- No cookies beyond the ones that keep you signed in.
The AI
When you talk to the planning partner, your message and the relevant parts of your plan are sent to Anthropic's API so Claude can answer. Anthropic processes that on our behalf and, under its commercial API terms, does not use it to train its models. If you would rather nothing went to the AI at all, simply don't use the chat: every other part of the tool works without it.
Who processes your data
- Vercel — hosting, so every request passes through it
- Clerk — accounts and sign-in
- Neon — the database your plan is stored in
- Anthropic — the AI, as above
- Resend — email, for invites and for telling us a bug report arrived
- Sentry — error diagnostics
Each one is a company we pay to do a job, bound to use the data only for that job. They are all in the United States, so if you are elsewhere your data is processed there.
Who can see your plan
Inside the app, only you. Every read and write goes through a server route that checks your session first, so an account can only ever reach its own row. Stated plainly and without flattering ourselves: whoever runs the database can see stored rows in the Neon console, exactly as with any hosted service. That is one person, it is not done casually, and it is not used for anything but keeping the app working.
How long we keep it
Your plan stays until you ask us to delete it. Error diagnostics expire on Sentry's own schedule, within 90 days. Invite requests are kept until the invite-only period ends.
Your rights
Email hello@koolcareers.com and we will, within 30 days: send you a copy of everything stored about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your account and your plan outright. No hoops. If you are in the EU, the UK or California you have these rights by law; you have them here regardless of where you live.
Children
KoolCareers is not for under-16s and we do not knowingly store their data. If a younger person has made an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will email the address on your account and update the date at the top.
